I first went to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) in 2003 with a team of Methodist women for 2 weeks. There I had the opportunity to meet, and fall in love with, the many Congolese people. I've since returned 3 more times with teams and have gone 5 additional times on my own, with my husband Wayne, and once with my granddaughter.

Wayne Mendro

I am support staff for my wife, Linda, who has the ideas and the big heart.  Four times I've gone with her to Lubumbashi, and her friends are now my friends.  I love these kids and the staff at Peniel House and am thrilled that we can find sponsors to send them to school.

Marie Tracy

Since French is a predominant language in the Congo, all the letters we receive from Peniel House are written in French and the responses we send back need to be translated from English to French- Marie Tracy helps us by translating these correspondences.
